My background is primarily as a visual journalist, artist and information architect, but I strive for a 360-degree view when it comes to navigating a newsroom. I’ve coached, coaxed and collaborated with teams of print journalists, video editors and graphic artists to produce a decades of highly creative and consistently award-winning work. Indeed, The Plain Dealer’s success in design, graphics, illustration and photography competitions is the envy of our peers across the state and across the nation.
Visual journalists are often the innovators. We’re the ones prepared to push against the status quo, to shake dust off old notions of what readers expect. And when visual journalists work together, it's a recipe for real change. That's what this site is all about: To show that collaboration and supportive leadership can take talent to levels far higher than singular effort alone. Enjoy. |
